The narrator won't shut up about how flat-chested the girls are, and somehow that's the joke, not the girls, but that someone is desperately trying to be edgy while the show stays genuinely warm around them. Every episode rewrites a fairytale premise into a high school problem and solves it with character and charm instead of plot mechanics. Ookami herself is built wrong for romance comedy, too tall, too masculine, too direct, which is exactly why watching her stumble through it lands harder than any conventionally cute heroine could.
SYNOPSIS
Ryouko is a towering, rough-around-the-edges high school girl whose masculine demeanor and fighting prowess make her stand out from her peers. Her best friend Ringo, small and sweet-voiced, balances her out perfectly. Together, they run the Otogi Bank, a school club operating on a unique principle: solve someone's problem now, collect a favor later. It's problem-solving on credit, where debts always come due. What starts as a simple exchange system spirals into increasingly ridiculous situations as the club takes on whatever challenges walk through their door. Ryouko's fists do most of the talking, but her gruff exterior hides someone genuinely invested in helping others. The club's roster grows with each mission, each member contributing their own quirks and skills to the chaos. Comedy drives everything here. The narrator constantly pokes fun at the cast, the situations escalate absurdly, and chemistry between characters creates genuine laughs. Beneath the jokes lies an unexpected sweetness: watching people genuinely care about solving each other's problems, even when those problems get completely ridiculous. It's lighthearted fun that never takes itself seriously.
