The Straw Hats finally get a special that remembers what makes One Piece work: the crew riffing off each other while everything falls apart around them. A foggy island that strips Devil Fruit users clean forces the show back to pure comedy and character chemistry instead of power scaling, and it lands the kind of escalating absurdity that early arcs nailed. The new crew members feel like real additions instead of cardboard plot devices, and the Davy Back Fight competitors' return gives the whole thing weight the usual island-visit formula completely lacks.

The competitors from the Davy Back Fight return, this time heading into the New World with three new crew members: Dojaku, Kansho, and the tactical genius Komei. The Straw Hats face Foxy once again, and the showdown happens on Nebulandia, a fog-covered island where anyone who has eaten a devil fruit loses access to their powers. The special blends action, adventure, comedy and drama in a fantasy setting, reuniting old rivals for another clash.
