Z is a former Marine Admiral who watched his ideals die in bureaucracy, now spending his final years trying to burn the world clean. The animation doesn't just support the story, it becomes part of why his tragedy hits so hard, every frame of his degradation visible in how the fight sequences break him down. The Straw Hat Pirates sail into the New World in search of the One Piece and cross paths with Z, the former Marine Admiral once called Zephyr. Z and his band of renegades are blamed for stealing the Dyna Stones, a Marine weapon said to rival the Ancient Weapons and able to shake the New World. His aim is to wipe out every pirate along with their dreams of becoming Pirate King. Marine Headquarters fears he means to end the pirate era at the cost of countless innocent lives, and moves against him. In their first clash, the crew is crushed by Z, who fights with an arm made of Seastone. His subordinate Ain turns Nami, Robin and Chopper ten years younger. Luffy is set on beating Z and chases him even at the risk of running into the Marines, while the crew meets both new faces and familiar ones along the way. The film mixes action, adventure, comedy and drama.
