The Straw Hats show up to save a city and accidentally trigger something way worse than the problem they came to fix. It's pure early One Piece chaos: the crew blunders into catastrophe with complete confidence, the jokes land because nobody stops to explain them, and by the time they realize what they've actually done, it's too late and also somehow still funny. This is what One Piece specials do best, before the show learned to take itself seriously, raw adventure with no stakes except the ones you create by being stupid in exactly the right way.

The Straw Hat Pirates come across a city sitting at the center of a whirlpool, a place known as the Ocean's Navel. Giant monsters are tearing the city apart, and these creatures are said to guard a treasure that can grant wishes. As the crew battles and defeats the guardians, their victory sets free a different evil. This one-episode One Piece TV special aired after Episode 53 and mixes adventure, comedy and fantasy.
