Kagura's still half-asleep in that courtyard, still drifting through dreams where spirits arrive like they're just passing through her thoughts. Season two deepens the trick: the quieter it gets, the stranger things become, and you stop waiting for the show to explain anything. The supernatural isn't a problem to solve here, it's just what happens when you're tired enough to see the world as it actually is.

Kagura wakes at night and sits in the hallway looking out over a courtyard strewn with cherry blossoms beneath the moon. A glittering butterfly, Kochou no Sei, drifts past, and its dust leaves her drowsy. Once she falls asleep, a story begins inside her dream. The second season of Onmyouji: Heian Monogatari is adapted from the Chinese smartphone role-playing game Onmyouji and runs twelve episodes, mixing comedy and slice-of-life moments with supernatural elements.
