This show strips away everything except two people learning to live with each other, and it finds more warmth in a single shared meal than most anime find in entire seasons. The landlady isn't a caretaker or a love interest, she's just someone who notices when the tenant's light is on too late, and that noticing matters. Five episodes is all it needs. By the end, the smallest kindness feels like it cost something real.

Ooya-san to Boku 3 is a 2021 slice of life short from Fanworks.
