The protagonist doesn't win by being likable, he wins by admitting he's a scheming mess and getting called out for it, then actually changing. The show follows through on that promise. A baseball tournament becomes the stage for a kid realizing that rigging a popularity contest matters less than being honest with the people he actually cares about, and it lands that turn without feeling cheap.

Pansy's heart is on the line for Amatsuyu Kisaragi, known as Jouro. His rival Hose, a textbook romantic lead, is better than him at everything, and the two are set to clash as the regional tournament finals arrive. While Nishikizuta and Toshobu high schools meet in a baseball game, Jouro takes on Hose in a popularity contest. Knowing Hose will follow every rule, Jouro plans to cheat his way through. Then new rules appear, all tilted in Hose's favor, and Himawari, Cosmos and Asunaro turn against him. With nobody left in his corner, Jouro decides to pull out every dirty trick in plain view. The one-episode OVA mixes comedy, drama and romance and serves as the closing chapter of the television series.
