A one-episode ONA from 1999, this is among the earliest works of Makoto Shinkai. In a world that is beautiful but overwhelming, a man and a woman who have at last found each other share a train journey and talk over their relationship. As they ride, they face their own thoughts and memories, along with their fears and dreams about what lies ahead. The drama and romance rest on a simple conviction: however hard things seem, the two of them can get through it as long as they have each other.
