Gainax stopped pretending to care about narrative structure and just weaponized rapid-fire comedy, pop culture reference density, and pure visual chaos for eleven minutes straight. The show knows exactly how stupid it is and commits harder than anything else on TV. If you watched the original series because the jokes landed faster than your brain could process them, this special is what you wanted the whole time.

Panty & Stocking in Sanitarybox is a single-episode special from 2011. The short came bundled with the fifth DVD and Blu-ray volume rather than airing on its own. It blends action and comedy with ecchi humor and supernatural elements, so expect a quick, irreverent bonus piece rather than a standalone story.
