Kaori is a teenage tomboy who wears dungarees and lives next door to two brothers, Ko and Yasu. One morning, as she is on her way to school, a US jet comes down and crashes close to the brothers' home. The film draws on an actual event from 1977, when an American military jet made a forced landing in Yokohama, and turns that incident into an animated feature.
