Giant cats pull double duty as Forbidden City mascots by day and relic guardians by night, treating cultural preservation like it's as natural as breathing. Within the modern Forbidden City lives a group of special cats. By day they are the palace's idols, and even a yawn draws delighted cheers from visitors. By night they guard the restoration of cultural relics. Six of these imperial cats carry a special duty: they protect the memory of the relics of Wuhua, entering that world again and again to defeat the destroyer Black Owl and set it back on course. They are Luban and Momo of the literary class, and Shuangmei, Aobai, Pingan and Xiaozai of the martial class. Clever, brave and closely in tune with one another, they form the Forbidden City Imperial Cat Room. They could have lived on their cute looks alone, but they choose the burden of preserving culture instead, in an action fantasy adventure about small guardians of national treasures.
