Yorushika's "Chidori" doesn't need a story because the song IS the story, and Kohta Morie lets it breathe without fighting for attention. The animation moves like the music moves, deliberate, spare, never explaining itself. A single plover cutting through emptiness, and that's all you need to understand what heartbreak looks like when it stops trying to be loud.

Plover is a single-episode music video made for Chidori, a song by Yorushika, with Kohta Morie as director. The short fantasy piece sets visuals to the track, pairing the band's music with a fantastical animated accompaniment.
