Usobaakka's gimmick, that promises are lies you can't keep, directly counters what every PreCure show is actually about: girls making promises to each other and keeping them no matter what. Hana crossing between three different PreCure timelines isn't just a crossover, it's her proving that those promises hold weight across worlds. A monster called Usobaakka appears and sets out to turn the world into one filled with lies. Hana from Hugtto! PreCure is taking Hagutan out with Saaya and Homare when the creature strikes, beating the group and carrying off her two friends. Hana learns that the girls of Maho Girls PreCure! and Kirakira PreCure a la Mode are targets too, and she resolves to help them. During the fighting, Usobaakka's words about promises bring back a childhood memory: a promise Hana made to Clover in a strange world, one she never fulfilled. She slowly comes to see that this promise is where the whole crisis began. Joining forces with PreCure from three generations, Hana must face her strongest foe yet in this action fantasy magical girl film.
