The joke structure doesn't care if you understand it, and that's the entire point. An ordinary high school girl, whose name is left to the imagination, meets Cheko, a maid from a village of maids. Cheko doesn't follow normal rules: she can melt, fly and pull her own head off. She is only the beginning. More strange visitors keep turning up, each with their own brand of weird: a snow fairy who dislikes the cold, a large squid that can talk, and some decidedly scary-looking people. Pugyuru is a short-form comedy fantasy built on pure absurdity, where the everyday world keeps colliding with nonsense.
