The jokes land because they're mean in exactly the right way, and Megumi's complete disregard for consequences makes every punchline feel dangerous. Three minutes is the perfect length to deliver a gag and get out before the thin animation becomes a problem. If you're looking for a romance comedy that actually commits to the "comedy" part instead of apologizing for it, this one swings harder than it has any right to.
