A brave cat named Pero makes a bet with the scheming multimillionaire Grumon: circle the globe in eighty days. The stakes are enormous. If Pero succeeds, Grumon hands over his entire fortune, but if he fails, Pero must serve Grumon as a slave for life. Alongside his loyal companions, the hulking Kato and a plucky little mouse, Pero sets off on the journey. Grumon has no intention of losing his fortune and uses every trick he can to keep the travelers from reaching the finish line.
