The animation carries you through what the story can't, moving fast enough that you don't notice the plot is just "gather party, fight evil." Characters are thin, but the backgrounds and action sequences exist in this gorgeous space where early 2000s CG actually belonged. If you played Ragnarok Online and want to see those monsters animated competently, this delivers that hit and nothing more, which is enough if that's what you came for.
Young swordsman Roan and his childhood friend Yufa, an acolyte with healing magic, find themselves caught in a spreading darkness that threatens to consume their world. What begins as a personal quest quickly becomes something far larger when they realize the corruption seeping across the land demands immediate action. As Roan and Yufa travel through diverse landscapes, they gather unlikely allies: warriors, mages, and rogues, each carrying their own burdens and secrets. Together they push forward through monster-infested territories and cursed dungeons, following fragmentary clues toward the source of the encroaching evil. The group's bond strengthens through shared danger, though disagreements about tactics and morality constantly test their unity. The journey forces each member to confront their past while wrestling with the weight of their choices. Every decision ripples outward, bringing them closer to salvation or damnation. With the line between heroism and tragedy growing thinner with each step, these adventurers must decide how far they're willing to go to save a world that may already be lost.
