A boy and girl already in love spend a season learning that "already together" is the actually hard part. This isn't about the confession or the first kiss. It's about fighting over nothing, apologizing badly, staying anyway. The show builds its comedy and drama from the smallest domestic friction, what happens when you stop performing for each other and start being real in front of each other. Season two trusts that the audience doesn't need a new plot to care. It only needs two people who matter, trying not to fuck it up.
Hikari Tsutsui, a teenage otaku, is at last settling into his relationship with his gorgeous classmate Iroha Igarashi, though everyday life keeps throwing obstacles at the pair. As the school cultural festival approaches, Hikari ends up roped into the festival committee, while Iroha's classmates push her to compete in the beauty pageant. At the same time, Hikari's best friend Itou gathers his nerve and confesses to Ayado, only to be rejected. While Itou tries to move past the heartbreak and Hikari simply tries to make it through the festival, both resolve to become better versions of themselves. This second season of the romantic comedy mixes laughs, drama and slice of life moments as its characters face whether good intentions will be enough.
