The possession premise is an excuse to watch two people awkwardly fall in love without the guilt eating them alive. Hiyori gets to want Yuya without Mitsuki's shame getting in the way; Yuya gets to be confused and charmed by someone who looks like his sister but isn't. The show knows exactly what it's doing with that setup and never wastes it on plot that doesn't matter. Art quality tanks in stretches, but the voice acting keeps the chemistry alive through every low-budget scene. This is built for people who want the ecchi and the romance to actually work together, not fight for screen time.

High school freshman Mitsuki Kanzaki is slow to warm to her new stepfather and stepbrother Yuya after her mother remarries, wary after a history of absent and abusive father figures. After an accident puts her in the hospital, she finds herself possessed by Hiyori Kotobuki, the self-proclaimed ghost of a girl her age who was deeply in love with Yuya. Hiyori cannot pass on to Heaven until her unrequited love is fulfilled, and she means to do it using Mitsuki's body. With her own life depending on getting Hiyori to the afterlife, Mitsuki has to put up with a pushy, amorous ghost sharing her body while still struggling to trust her new family, and she may be hiding feelings of her own. The result is a supernatural romantic comedy with a heavy helping of ecchi fanservice.
