Karen Aijou and Hikari Kagura have been bound together since a childhood promise, but their journeys at Seisho Music Academy have taken very different paths. At the academy, the next great Star is shaped through music, dance and real weapons. A new year begins, and the graduating 99th class prepares its rendition of Starlight, a story about two girls parting. Every student in the Actor Training Department seems to know what comes after graduation, except the cheerful Karen. She has fulfilled her promise to perform in a play with Hikari, and now she has no idea what lies beyond it. After Hikari leaves, Karen must figure out who she is without her opposite and face the reality of being a stage girl, while Hikari must find her own course again.
