The animation is so fluid and colorful that it makes a plot that's mostly just girls in school uniforms worth watching. The comedy lands harder than it has any right to, especially when it's just Tsukune getting absolutely wrecked by his supernatural harem. This is the show you watch when you want ecchi that knows exactly what it is and commits to the bit without apology.

A year after enrolling, Tsukune Aono starts his second year at Youkai Academy, a school for monsters where he is the only human. He and the girls around him, Moka, Kurumu, Yukari and Mizore, are now upperclassmen whom the new students look up to. The first day back brings trouble in the form of Kokoa Shuzen, Moka's younger sister and a vampire herself. She resents that the sister she sees as the real one is sealed inside Moka's rosary, and she is set on bringing that darker self back out. A gang of first-year girls also starts making things hard for the second years, in a comedy with romance, fantasy and ecchi elements.
