Matsutarou doesn't want to be great, he just wants to eat, sleep, and not think too hard. The show watches him stumble into sumo mastery anyway, treating his laziness and selfishness as real character traits instead of flaws to overcome. You're not watching a underdog earn his dream; you're watching a genuinely difficult person discover that being peerless doesn't fix being alone.

Matsutarou Sakaguchi is an enormous, rough-around-the-edges man whose physical strength goes far beyond that of ordinary people. Unlike the typical shounen hero, he never talks about working hard, striving or chasing dreams. Even so, nobody can match him in sumo wrestling. What holds him back is his own carefree personality. Based on Tetsuya Chiba's manga, this comedic sports story follows the laid-back giant as he grows into a full-fledged sumo wrestler.
