Two girls with perfect chemistry and broken spell-check are funnier than most comedies trying way harder to be clever. The late 90s art style moves with real weight, every frame feels handcrafted in a way modern digital anime doesn't quite capture anymore. Four episodes is exactly the right length to let you fall into their world without overstaying, and the dub actually works because the voice actors understand the tone: light, silly, genuine. This is a show that knows exactly what it wants to be and doesn't apologize for it.
Fam and Ihrie are ruin explorers for hire, two young mages who make their living diving into cursed dungeons and hunting down magical artifacts, provided someone will pay them. Both are highly trained, though their spells do not always come out quite right. The pair sets out after the fabled Ultimate Power, a magic that can supposedly grant any wish. Claiming it means tracking down a trio of relics: the Sword of Sargus, the Mirror of Truth and the Proof of Royalty. They are far from the only ones chasing that prize. Many other hunters want it badly enough to risk their lives, and few of them have honest intentions. Brains and brawn alone will not carry the day, but a mismatched band of companions might. The four-episode OVA is a comic fantasy adventure set among the ruins of fallen magical kingdoms, mixing action with plenty of humor.
