Louie is aggressively, unapologetically stupid in a party full of competent women, and the show commits to the bit so hard that his bumbling becomes the actual plot engine. The comedy lands because nobody pretends he's secretly brilliant or gives him a redemption arc where he learns to be serious. By the time you realize there's a real dark conspiracy buried underneath the party banter, the show has already earned the right to shift gears because it never lied about what it was.

Louie is a burly student at the mage's guild. Three young women, Merrill the thief, Genie the fighter and Melissa the priestess, take him on as a companion for their party, though not with much enthusiasm. Together the four venture into ruins, fight dark creatures and make new friends along the way. As their travels continue, they begin to uncover a sinister plot at work within the kingdom. The show mixes fantasy adventure with plenty of comedy across its 24-episode run.
