Nobody making anime in 1995 was this committed to the bit. Sorcerer Hunters treats its absurd premise, a team literally named after pastries hunting down horny wizards, with the straight-faced energy of a real adventure show, then undercuts it constantly with timing so precise it lands harder than shows trying twice as hard. The ecchi isn't the point; it's the wrapping around a show that knows exactly how ridiculous it is and refuses to wink at the camera about it.

On the Spooner Continent, ruthless sorcerers have long ruled, treating ordinary people as tools for their dark rituals. Big Momma sends out a rough band of Sorcerer Hunters to deal with magic users who go too far. Brothers Carrot and Marron Glace, sisters Tira and Chocolate Misu, and the warrior Gateau Mocha travel the land together. They face kidnappings, soul-stealing entities and troublesome sorceresses. When the sisters' charms fail to change a wizard's ways, the men step in to stop him by force. The result is a comedic fantasy adventure with a heavy dose of ecchi humor.
