This is a clip show, not a place to start. Skip it unless you've already fallen for Kenshin's quieter moments between fights. The Kyoto arc preview works only if you already understand why a wanderer trying to atone matters more than his sword technique ever could.

Rurouni Kenshin: Review Special is a one-episode recap special from 1997. It gathers fight scenes from the first half of the Rurouni Kenshin series into a single program and also gives a short overview of the Kyoto arc. Built from existing material, it mixes action with comedy, in keeping with the show it summarizes, and works as a refresher on the story so far.
