A father dragging his daughter into hell because she won't stop asking questions, and she's right to push back. You watch a man and a kid argue their way through a labyrinth neither fully understands, and somehow that's enough to carry you through twelve episodes, even when the story itself falls apart.

Humanity survives in cramped underground colonies, boxed in by bedrock. Beyond them stretches the Labyrinth, a dangerous and largely uncharted expanse where Markers risk their lives to map the unknown. Memempu is a nine-year-old college graduate whose inventions help her colony's ore miners, and she works alongside her father Gagumber, a former Marker, in a two-person work robot. She dreams of a place with no ceiling of rock and wants to find her mother, who left home, so she longs to become a Marker herself. Gagumber strongly objects, but after an incident involving the hostile giant creatures called kaijuu, father and daughter set out together into the Labyrinth in a sci-fi mecha adventure.
