Lu Bu becomes a character who haunts you, not because of spectacle, but because his tragedy plays out the same way it did in the source material, just in a format that should be disposable. The art carries more personality than shows ten times its budget. It's a complete story that respects both the classic novel and the Gundam legacy, which makes it essential for anyone who thinks SD Gundam is just cute robot dressing.

The classic Chinese tale Romance of the Three Kingdoms is recast here with super-deformed Gundams in the roles of its warriors and rulers. Expect mecha action drawn from that legendary story, told in short episodes across a 51-episode TV run that aired in 2010.
