War-torn kingdoms collapsing into zombie apocalypse, and somehow it's the petty tyrant behind the safe walls you actually need to fear. SD Gundam takes the Three Kingdoms story and strips it down to the core conflict that matters: survival means nothing if the people running the fortified cities are already dead inside. The tiny robot aesthetics make the collapse feel weirdly intimate, like watching civilization crumble through a dollhouse window.

Years of war have left once-flourishing nations in ruins, and just as recovery seems possible, the mysterious Yellow Zombie Virus begins to spread. Those infected lose their sense of self and turn on others, so the surviving Mobile Suits shelter inside walled cities that depend on a limited energy source called Trinity, a scarcity that has split society and bred conflict. Behind the fortifications, the lord Dong Zhuo has ruled outrageously since his predecessor died. Fate brings Liu Bei Unicorn Gundam together with Zhang Fei God Gundam and Guan Yu Nu Gundam, and he sets out to save the world, with the passion of the three young heroes poised to transform it. The result is a 10-episode Mecha action ONA.
