Kusano finally gets to prove she's not just the mascot, and watching her stumble through a shopping errand with Musubi and Tsukiumi is ten minutes of pure character chemistry that the main series never had room for. The joke is that nothing happens, which is exactly the point, three girls competing over something genuinely stupid, genuinely comfortable with each other. If you've ever wanted to see Kusano as a person instead of a plot device, this is it.

Kusano is tired of being overlooked. Nobody will accept her as a possible wife for Sahashi, and she has finally had enough. When Musubi and Tsukiumi set off on their shopping race, she insists on coming along to prove what she can do. The outing turns into a rather dubious day. This short comedic special runs about ten minutes and came with the limited edition of the sixth Sekirei volume, offering a light, ecchi slice of everyday life with the cast.
