This is the season where the franchise ditched the CG for hand-drawn 2D at Kinema Citrus, and it shows: Midi City glows like a candy store, every performance sequence is loud pink and gold, and the band actually looks like it's playing. The premise is textbook, country girl Howan chases stardom in the big city, and the show knows it, so it spends its energy instead on the friction of Himeko getting shoved into a band she never asked to join and slowly deciding she'd die for these people. Delmin and Ruhuyu round out Mashumairesh!! with zero fat on the roster. The songs are the point, not decoration. Twelve episodes, no trauma, just four girls learning to trust each other loudly.
