Gen Kinokura is a 34-year-old who lives for solo camping trips. Nature is his refuge from the crowded city, and he guards that solitude fiercely. On one trip, his peace is interrupted by Shizuku Kusano, a young woman who wants to camp alone herself but is badly underprepared. Gen reluctantly helps her and assumes that will be the end of it, but she insists on joining his future outings until she is ready to go solo. To make it work, the pair agree on rules for camping side by side while each still enjoys a kind of solitude.
