Before Sonic X became a full series, pilot footage was made to pitch it, and that material is presented here as a single special. It comes in two versions: an English-language promotional cut that features no human characters at all, and a Japanese cut that is much closer to the finished show. The genre labels point to action, adventure, comedy, mecha and science fiction.
