A giant mecha show that treats its own premise like a joke nobody asked for. Humanity's spread across the vast reaches of space has brought conflict with it. In Space Era 0156, war breaks out among the colonies, and Earth secretly builds a new battleship called Tiramisu. At its heart sits Subaru Ichinose, a genius ace pilot who flies his personal mecha Durandal to hold back the hostile colonies and defend Earth. Subaru treasures his cockpit above all else. It feels to him like a mother's womb and gives him somewhere to be alone when talking with his fellow pilots proves difficult. Protecting that sanctuary means fending off stray fried pork skewers, backwards shirts that nearly suffocate him, and redecorations nobody asked for. The result is a short-form comedy that mixes mecha and sci-fi with slice-of-life absurdity.
