A wanted pirate crosses the galaxy with one weapon: a pulse rifle and the single-minded determination to drag her estranged kid into the family business whether he likes it or not. The joke never gets old because it's not really a joke, Mito means every word, and that sincerity is what makes the absurdity land. A 13-episode ride that knows exactly what it is: a mom who happens to be dangerous, not a dangerous person who happens to be a mom.

Mito stands just three feet tall, but this childlike alien is the most dangerous pirate in the galaxy and a wanted criminal who wrecks a dozen police cruisers every day before breakfast. What she truly longs for is much simpler: to be called "Mom." Her son Aoi lives on Earth and knows nothing about his mother's notorious career. That is about to change, as an adventure carries him to every corner of the universe alongside a working mom armed with a pulse rifle. The result is a comedic sci-fi adventure that sets outlaw action against a family story.
