These monsters have already won you over by now. Season 2 knows that, so it stops explaining the joke and just lets them be worse versions of themselves, which means the comedy gets meaner, the friendship gets realer, and the school becomes an actual character in their chaos instead of just a backdrop. If you made it through Season 1, you're already invested in a vampire more concerned with his hair than survival, a zombie that's somehow the most reliable one in the group, a ghost that breaks the rules because the rules are funny. This is what happens when a show trusts you've already bought in.

Spookiz returns for a second season of supernatural comedy, released as a 23-episode ONA. The first season centered on a group of monsters who come out after the human students of Freemont Elementary leave for the day: a self-admiring vampire, a carefree goblin, a stinky zombie, a cuddly Frankenstein and a prankish ghost, bound by friendship through their slapstick antics at night school.
