The title lies to your face. You expect a giant robot war epic, you get three robots discovering what laughter means while the pointless conflict grinds on without them. That gap between what the show pretends to be and what it actually is, is the entire joke, and it never stops working.

In the year Mobile Century 8013, more than seven thousand years after humanity was wiped out on Earth, the military robots left behind are still at war with no end in sight. The conflict pits the Rebellion Federation, which holds Europe, against the Principality of Shin, based in Asia. Three young robots rise up determined to bring this pointless war to a close. The result is a short-format comedy with mecha trappings, spread over twelve brief episodes.
