The final arc stops pretending this is a love triangle and just commits to the relationship that should have been canon since season one. After five seasons of Akatsuki and Yukina circling each other, this OVA finally gives you the payoff without apologizing for it. The action is secondary here, which is the exact right call. Four episodes is the perfect length to deliver what the fandom wanted without overstaying. If you've been with these two since the beginning, this isn't fanservice, it's a promise kept.

Strike the Blood FINAL is the fifth season of the Strike the Blood franchise, released as a four-episode OVA in 2022 and adapted from the light novels by Mikumo Gakuto with art by Manyako. Earlier entries center on Akatsuki Kojou, the Fourth Primogenitor and the most powerful vampire in existence, and Himegari Yukina, an apprentice Sword Shaman assigned to watch him in Itogami City. Viewers can expect action, fantasy and supernatural elements, along with ecchi content. Kojou's story continues from the previous seasons, so starting with the original series is the best way in.
