Seeking greater power through cultivation, the Qionghua Sect has its elders forge two swords, Wangshu and Xihe, and looks for two disciples to wield them together in an attempt to bind the demon realm and draw on its spiritual energy. The plan sets off a devastating war between humans and demons. Su Yu, bearer of Wangshu, rejects the sect's ways and leaves with Yun Tianqing. The pair marry on Qingluan Peak and have a son, Yun Tianhe, but both die young when a deadly cold takes hold of their bodies. Raised alone on the mountain and knowing nothing of his parents' history, Tianhe finds his life changed when a girl named Han Lingsha unexpectedly appears. The result is a fantasy drama with romance woven through it.
