Two war orphans in ancient Qin train relentlessly, sharing a dream of one day becoming great generals. Their paths split when Piao is taken into service at the royal palace, and a violent coup soon follows. Piao dies protecting the rightful king, and his friend Xin sets out for revenge, which draws him straight into war. After following a map Piao left him, Xin meets Ying Zheng, the young king of Qin, who looks strikingly like his fallen friend. With enemies closing in, a nameless slave boy and a dethroned king must bring order back to a country torn apart by war. The action drama is set during China's Warring States era.
