The sky lights up in ways no other mahou shoujo even attempts, and the OST doesn't just underscore the action, it IS the action. Every battle is a three-minute song that rewrites itself mid-verse, animation matching note for note. Season 1 was rough around the edges; this one is polished to a mirror shine. SYNOPSIS
With peace finally within reach, the Symphogear wielders believe their battles are behind them. A joint Japanese-American operation offers them a chance at normal lives, tasking them with escorting a powerful relic to a military base. It should be routine. It isn't. A mysterious darkness unleashes a surge of Noise beyond anything they've faced before, flooding cities with destruction and death. The creatures keep coming, growing stronger, as if something fundamental has shifted in the world itself. The wielders find themselves pulled back into combat, forced to don their armor once more and confront an escalating threat that their previous victories never prepared them for. What emerges is a story about the price of power and the burden of responsibility that never truly lifts. These girls must balance their newfound chance at ordinary lives with the impossible demands of being humanity's last line of defense. As the Noise multiply and questions arise about who truly controls this new threat, the wielders discover that some songs, once sung, can never be forgotten.
