The series is exhausted. The girls earned rest. These omake let them breathe, let the cast exist outside the world-ending stakes for four episodes where the worst thing that happens is miscommunication over curry ingredients. You get the Symphogear cast as actual people instead of soldiers, which is what you wanted between seasons anyway. Super-deformed art style gives permission to be genuinely silly without breaking the show's internal logic. The comedy lands because you already care about these characters enough to watch them fail at normal life.

Symphogear XV Omake is a set of four original short episodes that present the Symphogear characters in a super-deformed style. The shorts were packaged with volumes 3 through 6 of the anime's Blu-ray and DVD release. Their genre labels mix action, comedy, music, sci-fi, magical girl and slice of life.
