Yomi spends years running from baseball, convinced she failed because her catcher wasn't good enough. Then she finds Tamaki, and realizes the real reason she quit was never about talent, it was about playing alone. This show gets that sports redemption isn't about championships, it's about finding the person who makes you want to throw again.

Yomi gave up on baseball after a frustrating middle school tournament left her unable to throw her signature pitch, the Magic Throw, because her team's catcher could not keep up with her. She starts high school at Shin Koshigaya, a school with no active baseball club, trying to leave the sport behind. That changes when she meets Tamaki, a childhood friend she had long been apart from. Tamaki spent her own middle school years as a catcher, and she can handle Yomi's special pitch. Playing catch together again rekindles Yomi's wish to pitch. With twin baseball fans Yoshino and Ibuki, they work to bring back their school's dormant team, gather more members, and set their sights on a national title. Tamayomi is a sports and slice of life story about friends keeping a promise made when they were kids.
