The specials don't pretend to be anything other than what they are: fanservice that earns its screen time through actual character moments between Ai and the salaryman. The relationship progression here is the real hook, not the ecchi framing. You get two episodes that understand their audience well enough to give them something that feels genuinely sweet underneath the design work.
Two bonus episodes of Tawawa on Monday, released with the Blu-ray edition. The original story centers on a salaryman who meets a girl named Ai by chance on the train, and the two start seeing each other every Monday. He shields her from the packed commuter crowd while they talk. The first special centers on a clumsy but easily loved junior, and the second, as its title says, pairs Ai-chan with a private film. Expect ecchi-tinged slice-of-life material in short form.
