SYNOPSIS
Humanity finally reaches Mars in the late 26th century, ready to claim the terraformed planet as a new home. The second manned expedition arrives prepared for routine colonization work, confident in humanity's control over the red planet. They're wrong. The insects seeded across Mars to transform its surface have evolved into something nightmarish: towering humanoid creatures with intelligence, strength, and an instinctive hatred for human invaders. What was meant to be humanity's greatest triumph becomes a desperate fight for survival against an enemy that shouldn't exist. The crew members aren't ordinary explorers though. Each has undergone radical genetic modification to counter the insect threat, grafting animal DNA into their bodies to gain superhuman abilities. Mutation against mutation.
