The crude MMD animation is a decoy. Behind that cheap exterior lives a show that understands anime tropes so thoroughly it can dismantle them in thirty seconds flat, then rebuild them as genuine jokes. Every episode moves like a sketch comedy show trying to fit an entire season's worth of structural ideas into twelve minutes. The show knows its audience came for the weirdness, stayed for the writing that never talks down to you. Most shows hide their intelligence. This one hides it under intentionally terrible CG and somehow that makes it funnier.

Koharu Tanaka starts high school looking for a club and ends up pulled into the so-called Groping Club, picked mainly because her personality does not overlap with those of the other members. Despite the name, the club is an unofficial one with no real activity or purpose, so the girls set out to find one. Their meetings turn into brainstorming sessions: they list the stock types of school clubs, push familiar anime and manga tropes to extremes, and dream up new ways such a club might operate, often with outlandish results. As the months pass, Koharu discovers that the lasting value of a club is friendship. The short comedy episodes also include an unscripted segment where the voice actors try to stay in character while talking through a topic.
