The crude MMD is still a decoy. Encore doesn't need to rebuild the joke anymore, it just deconstructs anime logic faster than your brain can catch up, then leaves you laughing at the wreckage. If you thought the first season was riffing on club anime tropes, the second season is riffing on the idea that there's a pattern left to riff on. The writing moves like a sketch show on fast-forward, where setup and punchline collapse into the same moment. Real fans of the first season already know: the cheap animation isn't the bit, the willingness to dismantle an entire genre in eleven minutes flat is.

Koharu and her peculiar groping club return in this second season of Tesagure! Bukatsumono. She was brought in only because her personality did not overlap with anyone else's, and the club itself is unofficial, with no genuine activities or goal. The girls keep trying to find one, first dreaming up the typical traits of school clubs and then working out fresh ways such a club might operate. The result is a short-form comedy of strange, everyday club life.
