SYNOPSIS
Jackie has built a life in Kenya that most kids only dream about. When she rescues a sickly bush baby from the wild, she names him Murphy and makes it her mission to bring him back to health. What starts as a simple rescue becomes something deeper: a genuine bond between a girl and an animal caught between two worlds. As Jackie and Murphy settle into their routine alongside her family and local friends, adventure finds them constantly. The African savannah throws everything at them, from encounters with dangerous wildlife to run-ins with poachers willing to do anything for profit. But Jackie's time in Africa has an expiration date. When her father receives orders to return to England, Jackie faces an impossible choice: take Murphy with her or give him back to the wild where he belongs. Before she can leave, circumstances force Jackie, Murphy, and a trusted family friend into one final race across the savannah. Hunted by criminals and corrupt officials, Jackie must teach Murphy to survive as a wild animal again. It's a journey about growing up, letting go, and understanding that love sometimes means setting someone free.
