Natsuo actually listens when the girls talk to him, he remembers details, he cares about their problems, he doesn't play dumb for laughs. That sounds basic until you realize how rare it is in harem shows. Season 2 leans harder into the cafe itself as the real relationship, the place where these characters genuinely want to be around each other, not just compete for the protagonist's attention. The comedy works because the cast likes each other first, romance second.

Months after Hayato Kasukabe chose to save his late grandmother's café instead of closing it, he and the five goddesses who live and work there are still fighting to keep Familia Café Terrace in business. Their troubles grow when a competitor called Family opens right beside them, run by five young women whose only goal is to put Familia out of business. To win, Hayato has to think fast, lean on his trust in the girls and find ways to keep customers coming back. Meanwhile, the girls begin falling for Hayato, and the resulting friction threatens the café as much as the rival does, so the five must settle their differences and stand together. Comedy, romance, drama and ecchi moments mix as the crew faces a harder stretch than before.
