Ancient Japanese mythology spills into the present day in this two-part horror OVA. Legend says the violent god Susanoh-oh was cast down into the underworld, where he killed the eight-tailed serpent of Yamata and became known as the God of Darkness. Now he lies sleeping there, awaiting rebirth, and agents of the Kikuchi Clan, descended from Japan's earliest families, have noticed the signs of spreading darkness. Equipped with ancient knowledge and artifacts, they must battle hellish spirits to locate the boy fate has chosen. That boy is Takahashi, still haunted by the murder of his father ten years earlier, and the clan knows he carries the mark of the serpent. The result is an eerie psychological mystery that weaves old legend into modern horror.
